Sheffield Wednesday’s form is putting increasing pressure on Jos Luhukay, who looks to be running out of time at Hillsborough.

Yesterday, the Owls were held to a 2-2 draw by Rotherham United, with the Hillsborough crowd showing their displeasure towards Luhukay, who sees his side hovering nervously above the Championship’s relegation zone.

Today, Alan Nixon is reporting that should Dejphon Chansiri axe Luhukay then Steve Bruce is the man the Owls want to bring in to help turn their season around.

Bruce’s last job came at Aston Villa, who the 57-year-old led to the play-off final last season.

Although promotion wasn’t achieved at Villa Park, Bruce has that honour on his CV already, having guided the likes of Birmingham and Hull to the top table of English football earlier in his career.

As expected, this fresh update on Bruce has sparked plenty of reaction from the Hillsborough faithful.
