It has not been the start to the season that Bristol City boss Lee Johnson will have been hoping for.

The Robins were outclassed by Leeds United on the opening weekend, drew with Birmingham City last Saturday and were knocked out of the Carabao Cup by QPR in midweek.

With 12 new players joining this summer, including four in the last few days of the window, and a number of key figures leaving the club it is going to take some time to be able to fully understand how good this City side is.

They welcome QPR to Ashton Gate tomorrow and Johnson will be hoping his side can secure their first three points of the season.

It will not be an easy task. Under new boss Mark Warburton, the Hoops have made a strong start to the season and sit fourth in the Championship with four points from two games.

So, how will Johnson line up his side for QPR’s visit?

Johnson opted for a 3-4-2-1 formation against the Blues and it worked for the most part, so we're backing the English coach to line his side up that way again tomorrow.

In the absence of Niki Maenpaa, the Robins boss has started summer arrival Daniel Bentley in every game this season and we can’t see that changing on Saturday.

Academy product Taylor Moore put in an assured performance on Tuesday, so he is likely to start at centre-back alongside Tomas Kalas and Nathan Baker.

With Jay Dasilva out for a significant period of time, Tommy Rowe looks set for an extended stint at left wing-back and Pedro Pereira is likely to start on the right.

The midfield duo of Josh Brownhill and Adam Nagy showed some real class in flashes against Birmingham and should only get better as they get used to each other’s games – they look likely to start against QPR.

18-year-old Han-Noah Massengo impressed on debut but he tired significantly late on and I don't think the French teenager is ready for a start just yet – I expect to see him making an impact from the bench.

Kasey Palmer had a great game playing behind the striker against the Blues and he will likely start there again alongside Andreas Weimann on Saturday.

Famara Diedhiou put in a real shift in the Carabao Cup in midweek but he was not clinical enough in front of goal and I can’t see him returning to the side tomorrow.

Benik Afobe looks set to make his second start for the club after joining on deadline day.
