‘Changed that game’, ‘What a player’ – Many Nottingham Forest fans heap praise on player after Barnsley win

Lewis Grabban made an instant impact for Nottingham Forest last night as they claimed their first win under Steve Cooper.

Grabban was a doubt to feature for Forest last night after picking up an injury against Millwall at the weekend, with Cooper admitting post-match that it was “a risk” to play him, even from the bench.

But the 33-year-old, who came on when the Reds were a goal down on the hour mark, made an immediate impact.

With his first touch, Grabban rolled the ball through to Brennan Johnson, who beat the offside trap and squared for Philip Zinckernagel to roll into an empty net.

Johnson may have squared it for Grabban to produce a similar finish not long after, but the winger fired into the bottom corner instead to give Forest the lead.

But the striker was to round off an excellent cameo late on, with Alex Mighten dancing his way into the area and pulling the ball across goal.

There was Grabban, who netted a trademark poacher’s finish at the back post, side footing into an empty net to secure the three points.

Here, we take a look at Forest fans’ reactions to Grabban’s cameo on a truly magnificent night for the Reds under Cooper…
