Three Sky Bet Championship clubs are plotting a move for young Preston North End centre midfielder Josh Brownhill, according to HITC.
The midfielder, currently on loan at Barnsley, is said to be receiving interest from Queens Park Rangers, Fulham and Bristol City.
Brownhill was originally part of the Manchester United youth setup but then joined the Preston academy in which he had a very successful time.
His impressive performances earned him a debut as a 17-year-old – since then he has made over 60 senior appearances for the Whites.
He has always been a player in and around the first team for North End and played a big part in their last few seasons.
However, this season in the Championship he struggled for game time, so he was let out on loan to Barnsley where he has hugely impressed.
The 20-year-old midfielder is out of contract in the summer and it remains to be seen whether he will renew his contract with the Whites.
When Preston did let Brownhill out on loan however, Grayson did make it clear that he had every intention of letting the lad get some game time and then come back to Deepdale to fight for a place in the team, so it seems that Preston will do everything that they can to hold on to their hot young prospect.
