There are only two days to go until the start of the 2019/20 Championship campaign, with things starting to heat up in the transfer market.

Luton Town host Middlesbrough in front of the Sky Sports cameras on Friday night, with the Hatters looking to hit the ground running under new boss Graeme Jones.

Kenilworth Road is where we start today's round-up...

Jacob Butterfield

Luton Town have completed the signing of midfielder Jacob Butterfield on a free transfer from Derby County.

The 29-year-old failed to make an appearance for Derby under Frank Lampard last season, and was sent out on loan to Bradford City where he couldn't help the Bantams avoid relegation to League Two.

After a successful trial with the Hatters, though, Butterfield and Derby mutually agreed to terminate the midfielder's contract.

Oli McBurnie

Sky Sports News claim that Sheffield United have agreed a deal worth around £17m with Swansea City for McBurnie.

The 23-year-old scored 22 goals for the Swans last season, but the Blades now look to have finally made a breakthrough in their hopes of pursuing the prolific forward.

The deal could rise to £20m.

Bailey Peacock-Farrell

The Sun's live transfer blog (31/07) claims that Burnley are set to make a £2.6m bid for Bailey Peacock-Farrell.

The 22-year-old was a regular for the Whites in the first half of last season, but fell out of favour after the arrival of Kiko Casilla from Real Madrid.

But with Burnley set to sell Tom Heaton to Aston Villa, the Clarets are now reportedly looking to bring in Peacock-Farrell to compete with Nick Pope and Joe Hart at Turf Moor.

Matt Phillips

Just one day after it was claimed that Aston Villa had made an approach for Matt Phillips, Brighton and Sheffield United are now believed to be interested in the West Brom winger, as per reports from Football Insider.

The Scotland international is entering the final year of his contract at The Hawthorns, with Premier League sides now reportedly looking to complete a deal.

The winger scored five goals and produced six assists last term, during a season that was hampered by injuries at times.

Samba Sow

Nottingham Forest are set to  sign Dynamo Moscow midfielder Samba Sow for around €700,000, via reports from the Nottingham Post.

The Mail international is a tall, experienced, holding midfielder that will look to rival the likes of Claudio Yacob, Ben Watson and Alfa Semedo for a place in the side.

The 30-year-old has made 41 appearances for the Russian side, and has also endured spells in France and Turkey.

Bart Ramselaar

Derby are in talks with PSV Eindhoven over the potential signing of Dutch playmaker Bart Ramselaar, according to the Daily Mail.

Rams boss Phillip Cocu recently insisted that he would not be signing any players from his former club last week, but the Mail now contrasts that view.

Ramselaar made only four appearances for Eindhoven last season having fallen out of favour with Mark Van Bommel, but was influential for Cocu as PSV won the Eredivisie title two years ago.
