The Sky Bet Championship season gets underway in just two weeks and at Football League World we're very excited!

Clubs are already putting plans in place to ensure that they are well-equipped for the big kick-off with plenty of incoming and outgoing deals already wrapped up.

However with the summer transfer window set to rumble on for some time yet, there's still plenty of business to be done.

So what are the latest transfer lines to emerge from the second tier? Let's take a look!

The Baggies are looking to set a deadline to get some clarity over Sam Johnstone's future at the club.

Arsenal, Tottenham, and West Ham United are all said to be keen on the 28-year-old following an impressive campaign for West Brom in the Premier League last term.

As per The Athletic, Valerien Ismaek's side are hoping to stop the uncertainty over his future rumbling into the final stages of the transfer window which means that any move to sign the player may have to arise sooner rather than later.

West Bromwich Albion are not interested in a move for David McGoldrick, according to Express & Star reporter Joseph Masi.

Reports from Football Insider had suggested that the Blades were preparing for an offer from the Baggies for the 33-year-old striker who is said to be available for a move this summer.

McGoldrick scored eight goals for Sheffield United last term, but despite claims that West Brom might be considering a move, it seems that Slavisa Jokanovic might be able to keep hold of the player ahead of the new Championship campaign.

Swansea City

Swansea City have struck an agreement to appoint John Eustace as their new head coach, according to Football Insider.

The Swans are looking for a replacement for outgoing boss Steve Cooper following his decision to leave the club by mutual consent on Thursday.

The former midfielder has made a real name for himself while working under Mark Warburton at Queens Park Rangers and is seemingly on track to be named as the boss at the Liberty Stadium.

Stoke City

Stoke City are hopeful of completing a deal to sign Keinan Davis this summer, according to Telegraph reporter John Percy.

The Aston Villa striker has fallen down the pecking order under Dean Smith at Villa Park which means that he could be allowed to leave the club ahead of the new season.

According to Percy, the Potters are considering a loan move for the target man and are confident of striking a deal after holding talks with the Premier League club.

Nottingham Forest

Nottingham Forest will have to patient in their pursuit of Philip Zinckernagel, according to The Telegraph reporter John Percy.

Reports from Football Insider have reported that Chris Hughton's side are considering a move for the Watford man as they look to strengthen their side ahead of the upcoming season.

As per Percy, Forest may have play a waiting game as they target a loan move for the midfielder, with the newly-promoted Hornets looking to wrap up a replacement before allowing the player to leave the club.

Derby County

Derby County have received an enquiry from Celtic regarding Nathan Byrne, according to The Daily Record.

Reports emerged last week suggesting that the Scottish giants were considering a move for the 29-year-old as they look to refresh their title hopes ahead of the upcoming season.

It remains to be seen if the Rams will be willing to sell, but with the full-back having less than a year left on his contract, it means that Wayne Rooney's side could be vulnerable to an offer given that he'll be free to leave next summer.

Middlesbrough

Middlesbrough have made a formal offer for Cardiff City defender Ciaron Brown.

Football League World exclusively revealed that the Teessiders had entered the race to sign the 23-year-old as they look to bolster their defensive options.

It remains to be seen how this pursuit will pan out with Teamtalk reporting later in the day that the offer had been rejected by the Bluebirds.
