After an eventful opening weekend in the EFL, now is the time for managers to add the final touches to their squad, with the summer transfer window set to slam shut on Thursday.

The weekend's action saw plenty of surprising results, with the likes of Cardiff and Fulham both falling to defeats away from home, with Leeds putting in a hugely impressive display against Bristol City at Ashton Gate.

Fresh off the back of defeating the Robins 3-1, we begin today's transfer round-up with a player that they didn't need at the weekend...

Kemar Roofe

In one of the more surprising transfers of the summer window, it is believed that Kemar Roofe is closing in on a move to Belgian side Anderlecht.

The 26-year-old scored 15 goals in all competitions for the Whites last season, but is now entering the final year of his contract at Elland Road and looks set to move onto pastures new.

The Yorkshire Evening Post have revealed that Roofe is set to undergo a medical with Anderlecht day, before putting pen to paper on a three-year deal in Belgium.

Ryan Kent

The same report from the YEP claim that Leeds are still interested in signing Ryan Kent this summer.

The winger has been heavily involved with Liverpool in their pre-season campaign, but doesn't look set to break into Jurgen Klopp's side any time soon.

Leeds, Rangers and Aston Villa have all been linked with the 22-year-old this summer after impressing on loan at Ibrox last term.

Cameron Carter-Vickers

TEAMtalk have credited Leeds, West Bromwich Albion, Derby County, Middlesbrough and a host of other Championship sides with an interest in Spurs defender Cameron Carter-Vickers.

The USA international spent last season on loan with Swansea City, and now looks set to make his fourth loan move away from the North London club this summer.

Fulham, Luton, Barnsley and Bristol City have also been linked with the central defender.

Said Benrahma

The Express claim that Said Benrahma's move to Aston Villa is back on, with another Bees star set to depart Griffin Park this summer.

The Algerian playmaker signed for Thomas Frank's side from Nice last summer, and went on to become the most creative player in the Championship by producing 14 assists last term.

But Villa, by all accounts, now look set to win the race for the wide-man, who scored 10 goals for the Bees last season.

Scott McKenna

Meanwhile, Queens Park Rangers have had another bid turned down for Aberdeen defender Scott McKenna, Dons boss Derek McInnes has revealed to the Herald.

The R's, as well as Nottingham Forest, have both reportedly had bids in the region of £3m rejected for the Scotland international in recent weeks, with QPR having another formal offer rebuffed.

The 22-year-old attracted interest from the likes of Wolves and Aston Villa last season, with the latter seeing a reported £6,5m bid turned down for his services back then.

Kevin Long

Forest could be set to switch their attention to another defender, with the Reds being linked with a move for Burnley defender Kevin Long.

Reputable journalist Alan Nixon claims that both Forest and Stoke have made moves for the 28-year-old, who has made over 60 appearances for the Clarets in nearly nine years.

The Irish defender made only six Premier League appearances for Sean Dyche's side last season, so a move away from Turf Moor this summer could be likely.

Jayden Bogle

A host of high-profile sides are believed to be interested in signing Derby defender Jayden Bogle, after a hugely impressive breakthrough season for the Rams under Frank Lampard last term.

The 19-year-old was a regular for the Rams as they missed out on promotion to the Premier League last term, establishing himself as one of the most promising defenders in the EFL.

But according to TEAMtalk, Aston Villa, Newcastle United, Crystal Palace and Brighton are believed to be interested in signing the right-back, who is under contract at Pride Park until 2022.
