In 14 days the Sky Bet Championship fixture list for the 2019/20 season will be revealed, with excitement already building ahead of the new campaign.
August will be upon us before we know it, but there’s still an exciting summer on the horizon as Championship clubs look to reshape their squads.
In our latest Championship round-up, we look at the key transfer stories emerging…
Leeds United, Wolves and Brighton
We start off at Elland Road, with the Yorkshire Evening Post reporting that the Whites are looking to take Helder Costa and Ben White on loan from Wolves and Brighton respectively.
Marcelo Bielsa is keen to add to his options on the wing, with Costa an option, whilst White would add competition at centre-back.
Jack Harrison is another winger the YEP mention as an option for Leeds, but confirm that up to three wide men could arrive at Elland Road this summer.
Swansea City and Manchester United
The Dan James saga looks to be reaching a conclusion.
Sky Sports report that Manchester United will pay an £18m transfer fee, with the Swansea winger in line for a big move to Old Trafford.
A medical was scheduled for Thursday, with James given permission to take a break from international duty with Wales.
Aston Villa and Birmingham City
The Second City rivals were busy yesterday, with Jota making the move across Birmingham to link back up with Dean Smith at Aston Villa.
Heading in the opposite direction was Gary Gardner, who spent last season on loan at Birmingham under Garry Monk.
West Brom and Sheffield United
The Mirror are reporting that Sheffield United are looking to raid West Brom this summer, with Jay Rodriguez reportedly available for just £5m.
Rodriguez scored 22 goals last season in the Championship for Albion, but with the side facing another year in the second-tier, he’s available at a cut-price.
Chris Wilder sees him as a great option for the Blades on their return to the Premier League.
In addition to this, the Mirror report that Leeds will not be looking to sign Bristol City winger Callum O’Dowda.
The Whites did look at the Bristol City winger in January, but there will be no attempt to sign the Irishman this summer.
