In-demand Grimsby Town striker Omar Bogle has told local media outlet The Grimsby Telegraph that he is not paying any attention to media speculation linking him with a January move to the Championship.
Bristol City and Leeds United were the latest duo reported to be holding an interest in Omar Bogle, according to the print edition of the Sunday People via HITC Sport.
Many other Championship clubs, including Barnsley and Rotherham, have been linked with a January swoop for Grimsby’s star man.
But Bogle has refused to be drawn on speculation, dismissing the paper talk as “it is what it is”.
The 23-year-old has hit 16 league goals this year for the Mariners after helping them win promotion from the National League via the play-offs last season.
The former Birmingham, West Brom and Celtic youngster has had to earn his way back into the Football League after non-league stints with Hinckley and Solihull Moors before joining Grimsby.
Bogle insists that speculation is just a reflection of the fact that he’s doing well and “long may that continue”.
