Struggling Sky Bet Championship side Bristol City have registered an interest in bringing Wolverhampton Wanderers left-back Scott Golbourne to the club, according to the Bristol Post.
The 27-year-old could be moving to Ashton Gate in the near future as the managerless Robins seek to strengthen the squad for the relegation battle ahead.
Golbourne is actually a former Bristol City player having come through their academy and making a handful of appearances for the senior side, so may be interested in a move back to his boyhood club.
Golbourne had been a regular in the Wolves side for his first two seasons at Molineux, but has been on the fringes a little more this campaign. With the news that Ajax left-back Nicolai Boilesen could also be on his way to Molineux, Golbourne may be a player that Jackett allows to leave this January.
Bristol City are currently struggling to avoid an immediate return to League One, finding themselves in the relegation places in 22nd place.
Their season so far ultimately cost Steve Cotterill his job, so there are huge decisions to make at Ashton Gate at present over a new manager and potential transfers as they seek to secure their Championship status.
