Brentford midfielder Alan Judge has told The Irish Times that he is very likely to stay with the Bees despite strong rumours linking him with a move to Newcastle United.

Alan Judge was speaking to The Irish Mirror in the aftermath of Seamus Coleman's horrific injury, caused by Aston Villa left back Neil Taylor in the Republic of Ireland's 0-0 qualifying draw with Wales.

Judge himself has recently suffered a devastating injury after sustaining a double fracture in his leg just under a year ago, which has kept him out of action for the entirety of the 2016/17 campaign.

The 28-year-old had been named as Brentford' player of the season in 2015/16 and this led to him being linked with a move to Newcastle last summer and in the January window, despite still being injured.

With hopes of making a return before the end of the season, Alan Judge has dropped a huge hint that he will be staying with Brentford rather than making a summer switch to the Magpies.

He told the Irish Times:

"I’ll find out what’s going to happen in the next week or so.

“I’ll make a decision, but Brentford to me, at this moment in time, feels like the right place to be.

"They’ve been good to me and I feel that when I’ve been playing I’ve been good for them, so we fit now and leaving when my last game was the one where I broke my leg never felt completely right.

"Hopefully you’ll see a bit of news in the next few days.”
