Championship side lining up shock move for £6m-rated Nottingham Forest ace

Bristol City are lining up an audacious raid on Championship rivals Nottingham Forest for skipper Henri Lansbury, according to HITC Sport

Manager Lee Johnson is set to be handed a sizeable transfer fund this summer as those at Ashton Gate plot a serious promotion push for the first time in years.

It is claimed the club view Lansbury, who will soon be entering the final 12 months on his deal with the Reds, as their top target as part of a major summer shakeup.

The reported £6m price tag is not thought to be an issue for those in the West Country, who have an exciting project in place behind the scenes.

Major stadium refurbishment is set to go underway for the club and they are said to be hell bent on making the top flight for the first time.

Former Arsenal youngster Lansbury has bene a key part of proceedings at the City Ground for a number of years, though has endured a torrid season with the club.

Though they are safe now, Dougie Freedman was axed after a miserable run of results saw them slide alarmingly close to the drop zone.

How big a statement signing would Lansbury be for Bristol City?
