Ipswich Town are plotting a move for Gillingham midfielder Bradley Dack, according to sports journalist Alan Nixon.
Dack has been subject to strong interest from a number of Championship clubs, including Bristol City who had a £1.5 million bid rejected last week.
The midfielder is regarded, as one of the best midfielders in League One and Gillingham boss Justin Edinburgh will be reluctant to sell their star player.
Dack has scored 14 goals this season in Gillingham’s rise to the top of the table, but the Kent club will not be able to compete with the wages that will be on offer at Portman Road.
The Trotters will be hoping to snap up the in demand Gillingham midfielder before the window shuts tonight at 11pm.
The Championship side currently occupy 8th place in the Championship and Mick McCarthy will be hoping to make his third signing today, after snapping up Paul Digby and Kevin Foley earlier in the month.
