The fixtures for the forthcoming EFL campaign have been released, with preparations for the 2019/20 season well and truly underway.

Plenty of clubs have already began to reshape their squads ahead of the new season, but with only weeks left until the opening weekend of the campaign, the race to sign players is only going to heat up from here on in.

Here, we round up the transfer rumours and news that we have seen in the Championship over the last couple of days...

The Callum O'Dowda situation at Bristol City

A source close to Callum O'Dowda has exclusively confirmed to Football League World that the Republic of Ireland international has rejected multiple contract offers at Ashton Gate, with his heart believed to be set on a move to Leeds United.

The 24-year-old was one of the Robins' standout performers last season, scoring five goals and producing four assists for Lee Johnson's side, and attracting interest from those at Elland Road back in January.

With only one year left on his current deal with City, we understand that O'Dowda has rejected fresh offers from the club, with a move to Marcelo Bielsa's Leeds United potentially in the offing.

Leeds are yet to submit a formal offer for the winger, but this one doesn't look like going away anytime soon.

Jarrod Bowen will not be joining Spurs...

Another exclusive transfer story, and another winger who lit up the Championship last term.

Jarrod Bowen scored 22 goals for Hull City last season, and has since been attracting interest from plenty of high-profile clubs in the Premier League.

Everton, Southampton and Tottenham are among those teams that have been credited with an interest, but a source close to the player has told us that he will not be joining the latter.

Everton and Southampton, however, remain keen on a move...

West Brom eyeing Arsenal's Jenkinson

Slaven Bilic could be set to make Arsenal defender Carl Jenkinson his first signing as West Brom manager.

The 27-year-old played under the Croatian during his loan spell with West Ham United, but has struggled for regular game-time at the Emirates Stadium in recent times.

But the Baggies are believed to be in talks with the Gunners over a potential move for Jenkinson, according to Sky Sports' Rob Dorsett, as Albion look to hit the ground running under their new boss.

Cardiff want Lewis Holtby

Cardiff are interested in signing former Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Lewis Holtby, according to reports from German media outlet Sport Bild.

The 28-year-old has recently announced that he will be leaving Hamburg after five years with the German club, with Cardiff among those looking to secure the midfielder's services this summer.

Fenerbahce, Galatasaray and Chicago Fire are also understood to be interested in signing the midfielder this summer, so it remains to be seen whether Neil Warnock can lure him to South Wales.
