The beginning of the 2019/20 campaign is drawing ever closer, as clubs start to finalise deals for new players ahead of the new season.

The last couple of days have seen plenty of big clubs in the Championship start to bring in fresh faces, with pre-season training underway for most clubs in the EFL.

Here, we round up all the most important transfer rumours and stories from the Championship...

Stoke announce five new signings

Stoke City made a huge statement of intent on Tuesday afternoon, confirming five new signings as preparations for the new campaign get underway.

Goalkeeper Adam Davies and defender Liam Lindsay arrived from Barnsley, with midfielders Jordan Cousins and Nick Powell signing from QPR and Wigan Athletic respectively.

Millwall striker Lee Gregory was also announced by the club, as the Potters look to right last season's wrongs and go for promotion next season.

Clarke edges closer to Spurs move

Leeds United winger Jack Clarke is set to undergo a medical at Tottenham Hotspur today, putting the final touches to his reported £10million move from Leeds United.

The winger burst onto the first-team scene under Marcelo Bielsa last summer, and ended last season with two goals and two assists to his name.

But after establishing himself as one of the most promising youngsters in the EFL, a move to Mauricio Pochettino's side looks to be on the horizon, with Phil Hay confirming that he is set to undergo a medical today.

Barnsley eyeing Leeds double swoop

Football Insider claims that newly-promoted Championship side Barnsley are lining up loan moves for Leeds duo Aapo Halme and Mallik Wilks.

The latter scored 16 goals and produced nine assists on loan with Doncaster Rovers last season, and helped them get into the play-offs where they narrowly missed out on promotion from League One.

Halme made five first-team appearances for the Whites last term, stepping in for the likes of defenders Gaetano Berardi and Liam Cooper when they were on the sidelines with injury.

Leicester set to sign Justin

wilks

Luton Town defender James Justin is set to undergo a medical at Leicester City today, after a hugely impressive campaign with the Hatters.

The versatile full-back played an influential role in helping the club win the League One title, and was also named in the division's Team of the Season after contributing to 10 goals from defence.

But Telegraph writer John Percy has revealed that Justin is set to arrive at the King Power Stadium for a medical today, with a £6million move in the pipeline.
