Hull City are still hoping to re-sign Harry Wilson from Liverpool this summer despite finding themselves competing against a host of clubs for the winger’s signature.

Rangers, Fulham and Huddersfield Town have all been credited with an interest in the Hull Daily Mail, however, the same report confirms that Hull are still in contention to sign the Liverpool winger.

Wilson will spend pre-season with Liverpool, before a decision is made over his short-term future.

Nigel Adkins is interested in offering Wilson another temporary move away from Anfield, after the 21-year-old impressed at the KCOM Stadium on-loan during the second-half of last season.

Wilson arrived in January and played a key role in helping Adkins guide the Tigers away from the Championship’s relegation battle.

In just 13 Championship appearances, Wilson scored seven goals, as well as adding three assists, making him one of the division’s most prolific players during the second-half of the season.

With Liverpool prepared to let Wilson have pre-season with Jurgen Klopp’s side, Hull are prepared to play a waiting game, as they wait to learn if they have an opportunity to bring the winger back on board ahead of next season.

The Verdict

If Hull can get Wilson back on board it would be absolutely huge for Adkins.

The winger was so impressive last season, proving to be one of the Championship most impressive players during the second-half of the campaign.

Of course, if Wilson becomes available, there will be an almighty scrap to sign him, but Hull will feel like they have an edge here having had the 21-year-old around last season.
