Nick Powell's future at Wigan Athletic seems as though it could be coming to an end, with a number of clubs registering their interest in signing the striker in the summer.

Norwich City, Derby and Sheffield Wednesday are all said to be keeping tabs on the former Manchester United striker according to TEAMtalk.

Celtic are also monitoring his contract status, with an agreement yet to be reached between Powell and Wigan, with his contract due to expire at the end of the season.

Powell has been in an impressive run of form this season and has seven goals to his name in Wigan's league campaign so far.

Without his goals, Wigan would surely be in the bottom three heading towards the conclusion of this season.

The Latics are sure to want to hold onto Powell, but with a number of teams already registering their interest in his services, it seems unlikely that his future will remain with Wigan.

We look at the THREE potential player paths for Powell in the summer.

Sign a new deal with Wigan

This seems like the most unlikely of outcomes in the summer, but you never know.

Powell has established himself as a fans favourite at Wigan and he's one of their best players, that's for sure.

He could be tempted to give them one more chance in persuading him to stay at the club for another season, but it remains to be seen if a breakthrough will be made between the two parties.

Move to a Championship side in search of regular game time

The likes of Sheffield Wednesday and Derby are all interested in signing Powell in the summer, and he's certainly capable of making the step to a more reputable club.

He'll want to find out what his role would be though, as Powell is more than good enough to be given regular game time for either side in the Championship next season.

Make the bold move to Celtic in the summer

If Powell was to join Celtic in the summer, it would certainly come as a surprising move.

There's no doubting that Powell is an excellent striker, but there will be doubters who will feel as though he isn't capable of making the step up to a club with the stature of Celtic.

He also wouldn't be guaranteed game time on a regular basis here, which would add to the unlikeliness of this potential deal being finalised.
