After a classy display to win promotion from League One, Blackburn Rovers will be looking up instead of down.

Blackburn already have a strong squad ahead of the star of the campaign, but if they are to be challenging towards the top end, significant work still needs to be done.

So far Tony Mowbray has brought in two new faces in the shape of Oxford United midfielder Joe Rothwell and Manchester City's Jacob Davenport.

The manager has lamented the inflated costs of Football League players during the window, claiming clubs just "pick a number out the air".

There has been plenty of talk of who may be coming in and who could be leaving the club this summer, so here are the latest rumours surrounding Rovers.

One man who could make a move to Ewood Park this summer is Harry Chapman.

The Middlesbrough midfielder impressed the Rovers fans whilst on loan in League One last season and Mowbray is apparently keen to make the move permanent, report Lancashire Telegraph although Mowbray is remaining coy on the subject.

Charlton defender Patrick Bauer is someone whose name continues to be linked with Rovers.

The Addicks had initially slapped a £2million price tag on the defender despite his contract expiring within the year, so it is unlikely that Mowbray will have given up just yet.

Blackburn Rovers were one of the first sides to be linked with Peterborough United playmaker Marcus Maddison this summer, but it looks like they will miss out.

Posh chairman Darragh MacAnthony revealed that two people had met the release fee for the player and it is thought that Leeds and Forest are the two clubs.
