As per the Q&A on his official Instagram channel, Reading midfielder Charlie Adam has left the door open to a potential return to Liverpool as a coach one day.
The Scottish midfielder was signed from Blackpool by Anfield legend Kenny Dalglish towards the start of the last decade with the likes of Stewart Downing and Jordan Henderson adding to a British theme at the club.
However, it wasn’t too long before Adam was leaving the club with Brendan Rodgers arriving in 2012 and he has since played for the likes of Stoke City and Reading.
He’s coming towards the end of his career now, too, and will be looking at his next steps with him saying that you never know when asked if he’d like a coaching role on Merseyside:
Should the season be resumed?
Adam perhaps didn’t have the highest of successes at Anfield – certainly not as he would have liked – but he still has that on his CV and perhaps if he was offered a role he would take it on.
At the moment, it’s hard to make a case for him being offered a coaching gig under Jurgen Klopp but Adam still has playing days left before worrying about that anyway.
