Celtic have been keeping tabs on Andy Yiadom, with the Scottish giants considering a summer swoop for the Barnsley defender.
Yiadom looks almost certain to leave Oakwell this summer, with his contract with the Tykes up at the end of the current Sky Bet Championship campaign.
That opens the door for the defender to leave for free, with Football Insider reporting that Celtic are amongst the clubs looking to sign the full-back this summer.
Brendan Rodgers’ side currently top the Scottish Premiership table and appear to be edging closer to another league title following last weekend’s impressive 3-2 victory over Rangers at Ibrox.
Whilst Yiadom’s admirers storm towards another title, Yiadom finds himself in a relegation battle with Barnsley in the Championship.
Jose Morais’ side currently sit three points clear of the Championship’s relegation zone heading into the run-in.
Yiadom has found his role limited this season at Oakwell, with so much speculation surrounding his future in the last 12 months.
The 26-year-old has featured on just 24 occasions so far this season, but did complete 90 minutes of Tuesday’s 1-1 draw with Norwich City.
Yiadom’s final year with Barnsley has been a disappointment for the player, who has made his feelings towards the club clear, with a move inevitable.
Celtic’s interest is hardly a surprise give Yiadom’s quality, and the 26-year-old could be a good addition to Rodgers’ squad.
The lure of potential Champions League football could be something that convinces Yiadom to make the move to Scotland in the summer.
