Wigan Athletic are among the clubs looking to sign Wolves' Bright Enobakhare, with the Premier League side seemingly set to sanction a loan for the attacker.

The 21-year-old is very highly-rated at Molineux and actually featured in 21 games as Nuno Espirito Santo's side won the Championship in the 2017/18 season.

However, he has failed to get regular football since Wanderers won promotion and has been out on loan in recent windows, which included a successful spell with Coventry in January.

His form with the Sky Blues in League One caught the eye, with Enobakhare scoring six times in 18 games and he impressed with his technical ability combined with his pace and power.

And reporter Alan Nixon has revealed that a lot of second-tier clubs are keen on the Nigerian - including Paul Cook's Latics.

"Wolves. Late interest in Enbokhare from Championship sides. Very good loan spell at Coventry. Wigan among chasers."

Wigan are in need of reinforcements in the final third after losing Nick Powell and if a deal does go through, the youngster could be involved against Preston this weekend.

The Verdict

Enobakhare is a really talented footballer but up until his time with Coventry he failed to deliver on a consistent basis.

However, his time working under Mark Robins took his game up another level and he certainly has the ability to play in the Championship.

So, you can understand why there would be a lot of interest and Wigan are a club that need someone with his imagination and creativity.

From the players perspective, and Wolves', he needs game time and a loan to the second-tier is his chance to impress to prove he has a long-term future at Molineux.
