QPR and Swansea have registered their interest in signing Aston Villa forward, Keinan Davis on loan ahead of the new season according to the Mirror (28th June, 13:50).

The report also revealed that Preston and Hull are interested in signing the 21-year-old before next season kicks off.

Davis has made 44 appearances in total for Villa, but has only scored three times in total, although the majority of his appearances have come off the substitutes bench.

Aston Villa won promotion back into the Premier League last season, as they beat Derby County in the play-off final at Wembley earlier this year.

Davis made just five appearances for the Villans during last year's campaign, and it seems unlikely that he will be given a chance to impress in the Premier League.

Villa already have a number of strong options in attack, which will mean that Davis is going to be significantly down the pecking order in Smith's side at Villa Park.

So a temporary switch away from the club seems as though it could be the best move for both parties involved heading into pre-season.

Davis will be keen to move to a club that will be able to offer him regular game time in the Championship next season, which he had previously struggled to find with Villa in recent seasons.

The Verdict:

I think this would be a very good signing for any of the teams interested in landing his signature.

Davis won't be getting the game time he needs to further his development in senior football, and a temporary move to the Championship would be the best move for both the player and Aston Villa.

If he can hit the ground running, then he could be challenging for a place back in Dean Smith's side in future years ahead.
