A number of Championship sides are showing an interest in Bristol Rovers striker Jonson Clarke-Harris, following a recent run of form that has helped lift the club out of the League One relegation zone.

Harris has scored seven goals in just nine appearances for Rovers since joining from Coventry in the January transfer window, including a hat trick in the 4-0 win over Blackpool at the Memorial Stadium at the start of March.

According to HITC, that form has seen a number of as yet unnamed Championship clubs take an interest in Clarke-Harris, with several set to send scouts to watch The Pirates' hotshot when his side travel to the Keepmoat Stadium to face playoff chasing Doncaster Rovers on Tuesday night.

It is reported that Clarke-Harris all round forward displays and hold up play have been as much a part in generating the interest as his goals, and a continuation of his form could see offers made to Rovers for the striker in the summer.

The verdict

Clarke-Harris' performances have been vital for Bristol Rovers since his arrival in January and it is easy to see why so many Championship sides have taken an interest.

It could be telling to see if the added pressure of being watched by scouts from the league above has an affect on Clarke-Harris' performances. Bristol Rovers will hope not, even if it could set them up for a long summer ahead.
