Liverpool winger Sergi Canos is attracting attention from Championship sides, Brentford and Queens Park Rangers, according to the Liverpool Echo.
The Spanish winger has spent the 2015-16 season on loan at Brentford and impressed as he made 38 appearances in the Championship.
Since Canos’ loan spell ended, the Spanish winger made his debut in Liverpool’s final game of the season against West Bromwich Albion.
There has been a snag in Sergi Canos’ most recent contract negotiations with the winger’s wage demands being the main sticking point which looks like it will be unresolved.
The failed contract negotiations could see the talented Spanish winger leave Liverpool this summer. The two Championship sides that have been linked with the winger are Queens Park Rangers and Brentford.
Queens Park Rangers are in a stronger financial position to pay both Liverpool’s £4 million price tag and provide Canos with the wages that he demands.
Brentford on the other hand can not compete with Queens Park Rangers’ financial clout however instead, Canos has spent his first senior season at the club and scored his first professional goal for Brentford and Canos would quickly fit into Brentford’s system which could be more enticing from a footballing point of view.
Whichever side that can acquire the services of the talented 19-year-old winger will secure one of the signings of the summer transfer window, even though it is in its early stages.
Brentford and Queens Park Rangers fans, how do you feel about the news? Would you like to Canos join your side in the summer? Do you think he would be a signal of intent if your club was to acquire the Spaniard’s services? Let us hear your thoughts and opinions in the comment section below!
