Non-league side Aldershot Town have confirmed on their official website that they have rejected two bids for young striker Idris Kanu.
The teenage striker has been subject to widespread interest and Aldershot Town have received two official offers for Kanu’s services – one of whom was a Championship side.
The 17-year-old came through the youth system at Premier League side West Ham United and had a trial with Manchester United – during which he scored and impressed – so it was a surprise to many when he penned a deal with Aldershot Town.
Aldershot are currently plying their trade in the National League and are competing for a play-off spot to make a return to the Football League.
Kanu has struck three goals in eighteen appearances to help Aldershot compete for a top five place.
Kanu’s current deal runs until summer 2019 and the club confirmed on their official website that they consulted the player before deciding that it was not the right time for him to make his move.
