According to today’s Sky Sports transfer blog (13:28) Norwich are interested in Liverpool’s Danny Ward.
Liverpool’s goalkeepers are certainly a hot topic at the moment.
The Reds switched from Simon Mignolet to Loris Karius halfway through the season and initially, that looked to be a good decision.
The German, though, ended up making two howlers in the Champions League final and it remains to be seen if the Reds decide to bring someone else in to replace him.
Danny Ward, though, might not get the chance to replace him, though, with Norwich apparently keen as they too look for a new stopper.
Angus Gunn left the club and returned to Manchester City and it looks as though he could be playing elsewhere next year, leaving the Canaries short.
If they can get Ward, though, they’ll be securing a promotion winning keeper after his days at Huddersfield.
Ward is a solid stopper and would be a good player for Norwich without doubt.
He does all the basics well and is still well shy of his prime so, whilst the Canaries will miss Gunn, Ward would more than make-up for him.
