Birmingham City picked up an important three points, with a deserved 2-0 win over Barnsley at St Andrew's on Tuesday evening.

The Blues dominated much of the game, and manager, Pep Clotet will certainly be pleased by his side's performance on the night as they moved up to 8th in the Championship table.

They took the lead on 69 minutes when Lucas Jutkiewicz opened the scoring, before summer signing, Alvaro Gimenez finished clinically from close-range to double that lead on 77 minutes.

But Gimenez's strike wouldn't have been possible without an inch-perfect pass from academy graduate, Steve Seddon, who seems to be making a name for himself in the first-team this season.

The defender spent last year's campaign on loan with League One side, AFC Wimbledon, but is clearly making a good impression on Clotet, who gave him his second start of the season on Tuesday.

Plenty of Birmingham fans were pleased with Seddon's performance on the night.
