A host of Championship and League 1 sides are monitoring Stevenage striker Matt Godden, according to HITC Sport.

The 25-year-old striker has been in prolific form for Stevenage scoring fifteen times and providing six assists in just twenty-six Sky Bet League Two appearances.

Godden's prolific goal-scoring rate and all round performances have not only helped position Stevenage just outside of the playoff places, it has also attracted the attention of a number of Championship and League One sides who are monitoring his progress.

If the former Ebbsfleet United striker can continue his fine run of form, Darren Sarll and Stevenage will face great difficulty keeping their prized asset at the club.

Although some would have been sceptical about taking the risk of signing Godden, the meteoric rise of Omar Bogle from League Two to the Championship has shown that the gap isn't insurmountable and Matt Godden could be the next to make the leap in the summer transfer window.
