Preston North End have completed the signing of Graham Burke, the club's official website has confirmed.

Burke pens a three-year deal with Preston after joining from Irish club Shamrock Rovers for an undisclosed fee.

The twice-capped Republic of Ireland international recently rose to prominence by scoring on his first start for his country, capping a fine season for Shamrock in the League of Ireland Premier Division.

With the season still going on in Ireland, Burke has already netted 12 goals for his side and will play his last game on Friday.

The former Aston Villa academy product played just two cup games with the Birmingham based club after coming through the ranks alongside Preston stars Daniel Johnson and Callum Robinson.

After leaving Villa, Burke spent two years with Notts County, scoring five goals in over 50 appearances before his career really kick-started in Ireland.
