Peterborough owner Darragh MacAnthony has revealed that Leeds United scouts have been a regular at Psh games over the past month.
The Whites have been linked with a move for attacking midfielder Marcus Maddison and in particular striker Jack Marriott over recent weeks.
And, MacAnthony’s response to a Leeds fan on twitter will only increase the speculation surrounding the two players, after he revealed scouts from the Yorkshire club had been regulars at Peterborough’s last seven or eight games.
Yes to be fair. Been a constant at our last 7/8 games. https://t.co/s3cvuVH2IL

Marriott in particular will be seen as a priority, with Leeds struggling to score goals.
The Championship side have failed to score in their previous three games, whilst the Posh striker is the top scorer in the third tier with 17 league goals already.
As well as that, he grabbed a double in the recent FA Cup tie against an Aston Villa side that had John Terry in defence.
The League One side recently claimed that they had rejected a £4m offer for their key man and that Premier League clubs have been showing an interest in the player.
Peterborough have a very talented squad but there’s no doubt the two standout players are Maddison and Marriott.
Both are certainly capable of playing at a higher level and would bring quality to the Leeds side. Marriott in particular would appear to be a priority given how the Whites have struggled for a natural goalscorer this season.
However, Peterborough are sure to demand a big fee, as they should, and MacAnthony has shown over the years that players won’t leave on the cheap.
