I’m not going to be a hypocrite & give it the big one and say not for sale blah blah as would be disrespectful to my players. Posh prides itself on doing well for its players & itself. But no rush or need. All good ????????. https://t.co/4onGJSQFEi

He was asked on Twitter whether Marriott is not for sale at any price or just at a reasonable price and was reluctant to say that the striker would not leave at any price.
He stated that Posh is proud of doing right for everyone, including their players, which opens the door to the fact that he could be sold in certain circumstances.
However, adding that there is no need or rush to sell the striker, who has 23 goals in 35 appearances in all competitions this season, indicates that there is no imminent deal in place to sell him to the Championship.
I would be surprised if a deal for Marriott was done in this window but McAnthony appears to be suggesting that if Marriott was desperate for a move and the price was brilliant, there is scope for a deal to be done.
Leeds fans shouldn’t be getting ahead of themselves, unless their board is ready to stump up some serious money.
