Preston North End defender Ben Davies is keen on a move to Germany at the end of the season, according to The Sun on Sunday (25/10, page 61).
Davies’ future at Deepdale is up in the air, with the defender’s contract running out at the end of the season and a new deal yet to have been agreed.
The 25-year-old has been a key player for North End, particularly in the past couple of seasons, and has established himself as one of the best defenders in the Championship.

Over the course of the summer transfer window, Celtic were heavily linked with Davies’ signature, with the SPFL Champions reportedly eyeing up a pre-contract move for the defender.
The Sun on Sunday, though, claim that Davies is set to snub interest from Celtic, with the defender reportedly keen on a move to Germany.
Bundesliga sides Bayer Leverkusen and Schalke are interested in signing Davies, with clubs able to discuss personal terms from the start of January.
This could be a good move for Davies.
We have seen plenty of up and coming English players move over to Germany in recent years, with the likes of Jadon Sancho and Jude Bellingham making moves.
Davies is obviously a bit older than both of those players, but at the age of 25, he still has plenty of room to grow and develop.
Schalke and Leverkusen are massive clubs, and it would be a great move for him personally.
