Crawley Town face a real struggle over the summer to keep hold of winger Gwion Edwards, with both Celtic and Rangers registering an interest in Welshman, according to HITC.
In what was a overall a disappointing season for Crawley in League One, Edwards caught the eye of many scouts with his 8 goals portraying himself to be one of the star players of the division.
Edwards looks set to depart the Broadfield Stadium with his ability looking to go beyond League 2, but whether he decides to stay in England or move north of the border remains to be seen.
One advantage Celtic may hold in the race for his signature is the fact that Brendan Rodgers has worked with the 23-year-old before.
He came through the Swansea academy when Rodgers was in charge, and although he never made a senior appearance for the Swans, Rodgers would have been aware of his potential. However with clubs in England and arch rivals Rangers also interested, a deal is far from concluded.
Whatever happens, Crawley fans should gear up for disappointment, as it now looks unlikely Edwards will remain with the club.
The funds they receive for the winger will need to be reinvested wisely as the Red Devils look to build on a final finish of 20th place, following relegation from League One 12 months ago.
