Reading and new manager Jaap Stam look set to face a battle to keep hold of talented midfielder Aaron Tshibola, amid interest from the likes of Celtic and Championship rivals Aston Villa, according to HITC.
Tshibola hasn’t played since February but was hugely impressive in the months before that, making 16 appearances and making a real impression under the manager at the time Steve Clarke.
The Scotsman has now joined Roberto Di Matteo’s backroom staff at Villa Park, so subsequently will be able to judge whether Tshibola will be a worthwhile signing for the recently relegate side.
Tshibola is now back to full fitness and ready for pre-season after his season was cut short, and Royals fans will hope that he will he still be at the Madejski Stadium for the duration of next campaign.
However this is far from a certainty with other clubs such as Crystal Palace and Norwich also credited with an interest in the Reading academy graduate.
