Celtic plotting surprise move for experienced Championship player

Celtic are targeting Nottingham Forest goalkeeper Dorus de Vries, according to The Scottish Sun.
De Vries joined Forest in 2013 from Wolves, and has gone on to make 63 appearances in all competitions for the Reds, last season he was the first choice goalkeeper for Forest, playing in 45 league games during 2015/16.
The Dutchman has also played for Swansea City, where he was managed by Brendan Rodgers, who is now in charge at Celtic. He started his professional career at Scottish side Dunfermline.
If Celtic are to sign de Vries, he’ll but unable to play straight away, since he went off injured in the early stages in Forest’s opening day win against Burton Albion at the City Ground.
Celtic won the Scottish league title last season for the fifth time in a row, however they could be in for a tougher campaign this year following the return of their Old Firm rivals Rangers FC.
