Celtic midfielder set for possible switch to Football League, club set to renew interest

Wigan look set to continue there pursuit of Celtic midfielder Scott Allan, who they narrowly missed out on during the summer, according to the Scottish Sun.

The midfielder had many admirers including Rangers and Wigan but he decided to move to Celtic instead, in a move that hasn’t really paid off.

He has made nine appearances for Celtic this season without scoring or impressing, causing speculation about his future.

Wigan are looking good for promotion this season moving ahead of Burton in recent weeks, and look certain for the Championship next season.

The club currently sit at the top of Sky Bet League One, having amassed 80 points from 41 league games so far this season.

Latics manager Gary Caldwell will offer Allan a one-year loan deal next season.

Allan was PFA Championship Player of the season last year at Hibs but with only 2 starts at Parkhead, looks set for a move away and put this time behind him.
