Celtic have joined Arsenal and Tottenham in the race to sign Stevenage striker Ben Kennedy, according to FLW sources.
The 18-year-old starlet is one of the hottest properties emerging from the Sky Bet Football League, and his impressive displays have seen him attract interest from some of the largest clubs in the country.
FLW understands that Ronny Deila’s Celtic are keen to sign up a new striker in the summer transfer window, and have subsequently earmarked the highly-rated Stevenage striker as a potential addition.
However, the Scottish giants will have to fend off interest from Arsenal and Spurs who are also keeping tabs on the player.
After being spotted at a youth fixture for Northern Ireland in 2013, Stevenage swooped for Kennedy and he joined the club’s youth set up.
Kennedy made his professional debut as a substitute against Oxford United in January and has gone on to make two starts since.
Graham Westley’s Stevenage side are well in the promotion mix in Sky Bet League Two, with the Hertfordshire club already securing a play-off place in the league.
Kennedy came on in the 67th minute in the club’s League Two clash with Carlisle United on Saturday, in a match that culminated in a narrow 1-0 win for the club.
