The League One side have yet to agree a professional deal with the youngster, but now HITC Sport understands that the winger is prepared to quit club.

Huddersfield have now registered their interest and join fellow Championship sides Nottingham Forest and Wolverhampton Wanderers in the race to secure his signature.

Premier League giants Newcastle United, Sunderland are Stoke City are said to be keen, as are Scottish Champions Celtic.

Celtic’s arch rivals Rangers are also keeping tabs on the situation which leaves Shrewsbury facing an uphill task of keeping the 18-year-old at the New Meadow.

Ginnelly, who was on the books at Aston Villa before joining the Shrews, made three appearances for the Shropshire outfit last season as they secured promotion to League One.

The highly-rated star is fast turning into one of the most wanted young talents in the Football League, with him looking increasingly likely to leave Shrewsbury Town in this upcoming summer transfer window.

The youngster is a versatile player and can be utilised as either a winger or just behind the main striker.
