Celtic are reportedly preparing a season-long loan move for Tottenham Hotspur winger Jack Clarke according to Football Insider

This isn't the first time that the Scottish giants have registered their interest in landing the youngster's signature, with Football Insider previously claiming that the Bhoys made a loan bid for Clarke in the January transfer window, although a move failed to materialise.

Clarke moved to Championship side QPR instead, and has gone on to make five appearances in total for the Hoops in all competitions this season.

The 19-year-old signed for Spurs back in July 2019 after impressing during his breakthrough season with Leeds United in the 2018/19 campaign.

But the youngster didn't feature in Jose Mourinho's plans for the short-term, and was immediately loaned back to the Yorkshire-based side for the remainder of the season.

A move to Celtic could be a tempting proposition, with Neil Lennon's side well on their way to win yet another league title this term.

The Bhoys are currently sat top of the table, although recent off-the-field events have called an abrupt halt to fixtures across the UK, with no return date being finalised as of yet.

The Verdict:

I think he'd be a good addition to the Celtic squad.

Clarke hasn't had consistent minutes with QPR, and I'm sure that Spurs will be looking at sending him out on loan to a club that can offer him that.

He's shown glimpses of his quality with the Hoops and Leeds United, but a move to Celtic could present him with the perfect opportunity to further his development in senior football.

A season-long loan deal could be a smart move for both parties involved heading towards the summer transfer window.
