Celtic and EFL club nearing agreement for talent

Published

According to Football Insider, Oldham Athletic are close to getting Kundai Benyu in on loan from Scottish giants Celtic.

The young winger hasn’t played much for Celtic this season with them having the likes of James Forrest, Tom Rogic and Scott Sinclair all ahead of him in the pecking order by some way.

He needs to get some minutes elsewhere to improve, then, and it seems as though the team from Lancashire might be able to help him out.

Oldham started this season pretty woefully in League One but have recovered somewhat since and they should be able to offer Benyu a decent education.

Whether or not it is enough to get him into the Celtic first team in the near future is up for debate as well as him obviously not making the move just yet as well.

He’ll be rusty if he does move, meanwhile, as he has only played four times so far this season in all competitions but he is young and so he should have some raw energy.

Celtic fans, then, will surely be eager to keep an eye on the player if he does move to the League One side.
