Steve Bruce was appointed Aston Villa manager one year ago today and it's been a fairly turbulent ride for fans since.

The club sent out a tweet today to mark the occasion.

Bruce joined Villa when they were in a tricky position and started his reign with a 1-1 draw against Wolves, the side he faces next.

Whilst they were unable to challenge near the top end last season, largely down to the results before he joined, Bruce spent the season changing his squad ready for an assault on promotion this time round.

A slow start meant speculation about his future was consistently surrounding the Villa manager, but a fantastic September has got supporters believing again.

Villa are unbeaten in six and finished the month off with four consecutive wins, making Saturday's game at second place Wolves very intriguing.

Despite their recent upturn in form, many fans weren't too pleased to see the club sending out a tweet 'celebrating' the year they've had under Bruce.

They'll certainly be hoping his second year brings a lot more success.
