It was an eye-catching weekend for Norwich City in the Championship last time out as they went away to Sheffield United and took all three points.

Going into this game many would have had the Blades as the favourites for the tie given that they were at home and their much loftier league position but it was the Canaries who were singing come full-time.

For sure, then, there seems to be a bit of momentum building at Carrow Road with them scoring goals and keeping things tight at the back right now.

And, with that defensive grit in mind, it could just be that the club equals a long standing record before too long.

Indeed, as per Goodbrand Stats on Twitter, the men from Norfolk have kept three clean sheets in a row in their last three games and if they record a shut-out against Brentford in the EFL Cup, that will equal a 23-year-old record:

Norwich, then, seem to be recovering from a poor start to the season right now and if they can match this record they will surely be boosted that bit more as they look to chalk up a stronger season than last year.

The Verdict

It may have taken a little bit of time for Daniel Farke's ideas and methods to come across but things seem to be clicking for the Canaries now, particularly at the back.

If they can keep that up, then, and score a few more goals up the other end they could just be there or thereabouts come the end of the campaign.
