Carvalho in, 24-y/o out: The Nottingham Forest XI O’Neill should field v WBA tomorrow

Nottingham Forest picked up a vital three points as they kept themselves in touching distance of the play-offs with a hard-fought win over Brentford at the weekend.

Lewis Grabban and Molla Wague were on target for the Reds on the day, and they will be hoping to build on this positive result when they take on West Brom on Tuesday.

We look at how Marin O’Neill’s side could line-up agains the Baggies.

One change that we could see is Ben Osborn dropping to the bench, with Jack Robinson shifting back over to his natural left-back position.

Molla Wague could be the man pushing for a start after stepping off the substitutes bench to double Forest’s lead at the weekend against Brentford.

Forest will be tested throughout this game and O’Neill could be tempted to play two holding midfielders to offer protection to the Reds defence.

Claudio Yacob could be in line to replace Ryan Yates in the squad, and will be keen to make his mark on his former club at the Hawthorns.

Joe Lolley and Matty Cash are likely to retain their places in the starting XI, after impressing in the win over the Bees at the weekend.

Lewis Grabban is almost a certain starter, after marking his return to the side with the opening goal against Brentford.

But with Forest unlikely to opt with two strikers up-front against an attacking West Brom side, Leo Bonatini could be replaced, and Joao Carvalho would be the ideal replacement.

He has been frozen out of the first-team picture recently, but could be the man to unlock a leaky-looking Baggies defence this week.
