Sheffield Wednesday manager Carlos Carvalhal has handed the clubâs supporters a massive boost by confirming Tom Lees will be available for Fridayâs clash with Reading, reports the clubâs official Twitter account.
Lees has been missing since Januaryâs draw with Bristol City, but is now available for selection against Reading, in a crucial fixture at the top of the Sky Bet Championship.
Carvalhal was facing a defensive crisis on Friday, with Vincent Sasso starting a three-match suspension, and Glenn Loovens a doubt following an injury picked up last week against Aston Villa.
Wednesdayâs manager spoke briefly about injuries, confirming some terrific news for the club, he said: âI will not be talking about injuries, other than Tom Lees and Glenn Loovens are ready to play.â
Carvalhalâs side are sixth in the Championship, whilst Jaap Stamâs Reading side are fifth, and both teams know failure to record victory this weekend could see them drop out of the top-six, if Fulham pick up three-points against Wolves on Saturday.
