Former Manchester United assistant manager Carlos Queiroz has emerged as the new favourite for the vacant manager’s job at Leeds United.
Queiroz, who was at Old Trafford for five years, is currently the head coach of the Iran national team, and was expected to sign a new deal. But now he is believed to be considering his options after Leeds expressed their interest.
Coral bookmakers currently have the Portuguese as 2/1 favourite, with current caretaker manager Neil Redfearn just behind.
Leeds have been searching for a new manager since the sacking of David Hockaday a week ago after just 70 days in charge of the Yorkshire club.
