Huddersfield produced one of the standout Championship results of the weekend as they thrashed Millwall 3-0 at The Den to continue their recent revival on Saturday.

It was the perfect response from Carlos Corberan's side, who arrived in South London on the back of consecutive victories, but put in a terrific defensive performance, which was topped off by three clinical goals on the counter-attack.

Josh Koroma put the Yorkshire outfit in control in the capital, before Spanish defender Pipa and Lewis O'Brien struck in the latter stages to put gloss on a wonderful afternoon for Huddersfield.

However it wasn't the perfect day for the Terries, who lost influential midfielder Alex Pritchard to a first-half injury, and manager Corberan has ruled the former Tottenham youngster out of Tuesday's game with Bristol City.

Speaking to Huddersfield's official Twitter account, he said: "Pritchard suffered an injury in the first half. He will have a scan today. Hopefully it isn't something dangerous. He won't be available tomorrow."

But there was better injury news to report - with the Terries boss confirming that goalkeeper Danny Ward has returned to training following a recent hamstring problem, his only appearance this term came in the EFL Cup against Rochdale.

Are these 12 facts about the Terriers’ history genuine or not?

The Verdict

It feels like whenever Pritchard gathers some sort of momentum, he gets injured. It's difficult to know the extent of the issue, but fingers crossed it's not another blow for the attacker, who impressed in that first-half at The Den.

But Ward returning is excellent news for Huddersfield, and should provide stiff competition for Ben Hamer, who kept his third clean sheet of the campaign already against the Lions.
