After a spirited season in the Premier League, Neil Warnock's Cardiff City were relegated back to the second-tier at the first time of asking.

When the season ended, the Blue Birds sat just two points adrift of safety and of Brighton and Hove Albion but ultimately it was a case of so close yet so far.

But there is no doubt that, after recruiting intelligently in the top-flight, that the Welsh side will be well equipped to have another tilt at the title.

The likes of Bobby Reid, Nathaniel Mendez-Laing and Sol Bamba are just a few of the proven second-tier talents that the club possesses.

However, the start of the season is still a fair way away and most of the team will be enjoying a well earned break after a gruelling campaign.

But what are they getting up to?

Here is a quick round-up of where the Cardiff stars have been jetting off to...

Bruno Ecuele Manga

The defender impressed during his first campaign with the Blue Birds and has rewarded himself by jetting off to South Africa to enjoy a spot of jet-skiing.

His Instagram story also reveals that a trip to Istanbul in Turkey is next on the agenda before he returns for pre-season.

Joe Bennett

Manga's defensive teammate has gone down the classic route and headed off to Ibiza.

Although Neil Warnock will be relieved to learn that he has at least taken his family with him so there should not be too many late, boozy nights.

Nathaniel Mendez-Laing

The tricky winger has been living the life in LA over the past few days after impressing in spells last season.

His latest post was from the famous Rodeo Drive in Beverley Hills along with the caption "strolling down rodeo" - undoubtedly a well deserved break.

Bobby Reid

Family has well and truly come first for Bobby Reid this summer, taking a huge family trip to Jamaica.

After scoring goals for fun in his last Championship season with Bristol City, Warnock will be keen to see him rest up as much as possible before doing the same throughout 2019/20.
