The 26-year old is a want away player at the club, following his sides recent relegation from the Premier League this past season during which he featured 34 times.
He only joined the club last summer from Spanish side Sevilla for a club record fee of £11 million.
It is understood though that Inter face competition from Spanish side Valencia CF and Turkish outfit Besiktas.
It is also thought that a fee could be around £7 million upwards as the Welsh side hope to recoup as much as the £11 million fee paid for him.
