Cardiff City are in talks to sign Barnsley forward Cauley Woodrow, according to Wales Online.
The striker has been a key player for the Tykes and he netted 15 times in 42 appearances for Barnsley in the Championship last season and he’s started this season in the same fashion.
Woodrow has been highly-rated for a number of years now, and he was one of the key reasons why Barnsley managed to stay in the division at the end of the last campaign.
At just 25-years-old, Cardiff have the potential to bring him in rival some of the forwards they currently have at the club for many years to come.
During the players time at Oakwell he hasn’t just played up top, he’s also managed to play in an attacking-field role, something that could benefit the Bluebirds and give Lee Tomlin needed competition for his place in the side.

This would be a very good signing for Cardiff and one that would show they had real ambitions to back Neil Harris and get back into the top six after they came so close to promotion last season.
Woodrow has all the attributes that you’d want in a Championship striker, and most importantly he seems to have a knack of scoring goals on a regular basis.
If Harris can get the best out of him, then they would have brought in a very good forward who has the ability to change games in this division.
