Eldin Jakupovic is set to quit Leicester City this summer with a host of clubs chasing his signature, according to The Hull Daily Mail.

Jakupovic only left Hull City to join Premier League side Leicester last summer but he has failed to break into the first-team there and will now look to depart the club in the summer.

Newly-promoted Cardiff City are thought to be interested in the shot stopper with Neil Warnock keen to bolster his squad for their upcoming Premier League campaign.

West Bromwich Albion, who were recently relegated from the Premier League, are also keen on the 33-year-old to add competition for places with Ben Foster.

Championship promotion hopefuls Derby County and Middlesbrough - who are both preparing for the play-offs at the moment - also hold an interest in Jakupovic.

Derby currently have Scott Carson as their first-choice goalkeeper but want strength in depth while Boro are hoping that Jakupovic is able to push Darren Randolph for the starting spot.

Jakupovic is unhappy with his lack of playing time at Leicester, having only made two FA Cup appearances since his summer switch, and will now look for an exit.

The once-capped Switzerland international has previously proven his class at Premier League level during his time at Hull.

The Verdict

Jakupovic is an excellent goalkeeper and would be an asset for any Championship side.

All these sides mentioned have good goalkeepers in their ranks but having two top class stoppers increases the competition for places and pushes them to become better players too.

The 33-year-old is experienced and reliable between the sticks.
